Bronze Age Fighter (SOLD OUT)
A fighter is traditionally a light, thin and fast blade and this, I think, catches the true spirit of that type of knife. It has a Laddered W's Damascus blade I forged from 80CrV2 and 15N20 giving it a bold and contrasty finish. The handle has a lot of tricky parts to it. The guard is made from a solid piece of aluminum bronze and is patinated and brushed back. There's not a single straight line on the whole handle from the top of the guard where it curves and meets the ricasso to the sculpted palm swell in the ironwood burl. The handle is ironwood burl as previously stated and sculpted to match up with the lines on the guard. I had a lot of fun making all the lines flow together. It's truly a one of a kind piece from me and I hope the next owner loves it as much as I do!
The sheath will be made soon, is included in the price, and is going to be made from 9oz harness leather from Wickett and Craig.
