This is the first axe that I forged. I have always been drawn to the carving axe profile. A very unique and overstated curved bit and beard. It has a 3lb head forged from 1045 high carbon steel. This axe is made as a carving axe but it can chop wood nicely and make kindling with ease making it a great compact camp axe to keep in the truck. The handle is 18" long, made of Ashe, and is completely hand sculpted.
