This is my version of the classic camp hatchet. It has a 2lb head with a 2 3/4" bit and square hammer pole. The head is forged from 1045 high carbon steel which is a classic axe steel that provides a great balance of toughness and hardness for chopping and bushcraft work. The 10 3/4" wood handle is hand sculpted from beautiful and strong Ashe. This is the perfect hatchet for the camp site.
